Key responsibilities

• Professional leadership of more junior colleagues to ensure that critical Cloudfm business systems are continuously available, resilient and performing at, or indeed above, agreed service levels / relevant industry standards.
• Supporting the Lead Systems Developer in creating effective monitoring and service management frameworks to ensure that critical business systems are pro-actively monitored and managed to minimise downtime / impact on clients, Cloudfm staff, and our supply-chain/engineering partners
• Supporting the Lead Systems Developer to undertake performance improvement / system enhancement / technical initiatives to achieve the optimum price/performance/SLA characteristics for critical business systems
• Contributing to Corporate and Team objectives, including contributing to strategies, plans and directions as required
• Contributing to technical designs, standards and implementation patterns to ensure maximum performance, availability and resilience of critical business systems
• Contributing to research and investigations into new technical products and services which may be beneficial for Cloudfm solutions
• Assisting the Lead Systems Developer in upwards and outwards reporting of progress, budgets, resource consumption and delivery.

Specialist knowledge and qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of working within an operations support environment in a 24x7 environment, knowledge of a wide range of associated systems
• Experience of working in a service management model with strict SLAs and uptime requirements
• Experience with SQL IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
• Good experience with Azure storage, SQL-managed instances and Active Directory
• Good indexing experience
